The Story

Why this bar?

The idea for The Last Chapter started on a trip to New York City, when I walked into a book bar and fell in love with the feeling of it almost immediately. It was warm, thoughtful, and different — the kind of place that made people want to stay.

Living in the Rochester area, I realized there wasn't anything quite like that here, and I couldn't stop thinking about creating a space where people could gather, connect, sip something beautiful, and experience something memorable within my own community.

Not just a bar — a room people remember.

A feeling first

The Last Chapter is being built around the way a space makes people feel: welcomed, curious, comfortable, and just a little transported.

Inspired by the intimacy of a book bar, the concept blends stories, conversation, cocktails, atmosphere, and the kind of details people remember.

The vision is to create something the Rochester area does not already have — a destination for readers, romantics, and people looking for a night with meaning.
